Bachmann versus Stern

Howard Stern criticized Michele Bachmann's position on gays, and Bachmann replied that Stern is a corrupter of our youth.

Howard Stern is brilliantly funny and terribly offensive. He spawned dozens of much less talented "shock jocks" around the country who haphazardly apply what they think is his formula for success: simply be outrageous. But that's not enough. Stern is brilliant and original and surrounds himself with other brilliant and original people. He's outrageously honest about himself and expects the same of others. There is no better interviewer than Howard Stern because he cuts straight to what people want to know.

There's a major misconception about Howard Stern. People think that because his humor is lewd and irreverent, he is therefore an immoral and indecent person. There's an illogical leap there. Stern is an entertainer who brings joy to his listeners' lives. And he just happens to be morally driven. At a time when leaders are still kicking gays for political gain--or worse, because their value system calls them to do so--Stern has been a solid supporter of equal rights.

I think Howard Stern is morally superior to Michele Bachmann. While she kicks a minority, he speaks up for them.
